Bad experience

prepaid for a car when i got there they didn,t have anything in the class vehicle that i paid for so i settled for less .30 days latter i received a bill for 200$ more than my prepay .No one answers the phone/returns phone calls or emails. nonexistent customer service.

Overcharged

was charged refueling fee and refueling service charge on a car that I turned in with a full tank of gas. Also trying to charge my credit card multiple times. Just seems like they are trying to sneak extra money out of me. Hard to find the right contact info for the region I used them in. The actual car was good and turning it in was smooth but very untrustworthy payment practices are scary.

I filed complaint

I filed a complaint back on April the 10th about being overcharged and taken complete advantage of and the vehicle was complete c***. We rented the vehicle in Baltimore airport to drive to Orlando Florida because our flight was canceled in Baltimore after leaving after leaving Raleigh Durham airport .

The vehicle had all kinds of issues that we did not discover until we were already on the road in the middle of the night and it was too late to turn back at that point. After filing the claim I was contacted contacted by the manager at BWI SIXT and and all she wanted to do was offer me an upgrade on my next rental rental. I informed her I informed her that I would never be renting from SIXT again yes I exceeded and she said that she would escalate it to her regional manager manager.

I have never heard back from anybody And now 2 different times I have tried to call in and it says that their phone system is experiencing some sort of a malfunction. I just called in again and the only person I could get ahold of was in roadside assistance and as soon as I started to talk he hung up on me.

Charged for changing pick up time

Sixt - Charged for changing pick up time

On March 13 we arrived at the airport in Fort Myers, FL at 1am to pick up our rental car. Original pick up time was March 12 at 4:30pm.

Our flight was cancelled then new flight had further delays so during the day we went onto the app and changed our pick up time so we wouldn't lose our reservation and to be courteous. When we finally arrived the Sixt attendant said we were charged an extra $112.16 for making this change on our reservation? We had prepaid our rental at $422 but we needed to pay the extra charge if we wanted to get the car. It was 1am so we didn't really have a choice.

This was our first rental with Sixt and it would have been a perfect experience if not for this issue.

We would like to request a refund of this $112.16 charge. Thank you

Hello! I send to you a list what information I Ask you: Does your Full Coverage include coverage to windscreen and tires too? How much money costs Full Coverage for ten days? Does your Full Coverage reduce excess or with excess zero? Which age model rents a car, in my case Opel CORSA or similar, 1. Economic older 2019 for example? What is a border fee and fee Green Card and which countries I am eligible to visit with your Green Card? Do you have unlimited mileage or are limited? What are cancellation terms? Nobody there to help you refund your money back they only wanted your money and you cant communicate with no agent about your refund its automatically recording voice and I receive a confirmation about pick up the car when I dont even go to the place to get the car and nobody call me

Damaged tires on vehicle

I have contacted Sixt on numerous occasions by e mail as they do not answer the phones for reporting damage or problems with the hire vehicle. I have a nail in rear passenger side tire and a slow puncture in front passenger tire.

I was told I had to drive 56 miles to Tampa International Airport to change the vehicle along the I4 and 275. As there were no other pick up points near Winter Haven. As I still have approximately 2 weeks left on the hire and I have been attempting to get this rectified for over a week it has totally spoiled our holiday.

Whats even more concerning is that we are both over 65 and are expected to do drive that distance with faulty tires and absolutely no help or advice from Sixt. If I drive this on the roads and have an accident or cause an accident who is responsible for any damage especially as they have been notified of the issue.

If you did not purchase insurance through the rental, then you are responsible.

You live in a nasty state. Ask your Governor for help.

Beware this company. Reservation made and paid for in May. Several hours attempting to reach a human online and by phone. Post Office responded undeliverable . Tried 2 more times. Chase Bank is pursuing this case for me.

DEAR COMPLAINT COLLECTOR:

THE CAR SIXT RENTED TO ME ON MY RECENT TRIP TO FRANCE WAS A DEATH BOX!

UPON LEAVING CHARLES DE GALLE AIRPORT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILUMATED AND I WAS FORCED TO STOP AND BUY WATER FOR THE CAR.

THE VERY NEXT DAY WE HAD TO ADD A LITER OF ENGINE OIL TO THE CAR. AGAIN TO SILENCE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.

ALSO I COULD NOT SHUT OFF THE AUTO STEERING UNIT AND THE CAR BECAME TO BECOME TWISTY AND TURNY AND ZIG-ZAGED ALL OVER THE FRANCE ROADS.

ALSO THE CAR SMELLED OF DIRTY HUMANS AND THE DRIVERS SEAT WAS COVERED IN WHITE STAINS.

THE CHECK IN LADY (CATHERINE)WAS RUDE AND ILL-MANNERED; AND YOU PARKING LOT ATTENDENT WAS WORSE.

WHY DO YOU PLACE RUDE AND DISCOURTEOUS PEOPLE IN PLACES WHICH INTERFACE WITH THE PUBLIC?????????

I rented a car from you, in Miami i dropped it off same location and weeks latter they sent me an email stating that I had made damaged to the vehicle and I responded that I was not responsable, never heard from them and then i see a collection from you guys, My credit card has insurance, if I was responsable my credit card company would payed, I was out of the country taking care of my step son that died on February 5th, 2022. Worthless

I asked about passing through No Ireland without stopping in order to get to another Republic of Ireland destination. Customer Service had no idea what or where I was talking about and could not answer questions re insurance or surcharges. Only answer I got was, You cannot take your rental vehicle internationally. Turns out there was no problem and the response couldnt have been further from the facts at hand.

I didn't receive my 200.00 dollars back

I have not received my deposit of two hundred dollars yet. I check my bank statements every week. I would like my deposit returned to my account. I rented a vehicle from your company in good faith, I was told I had to leave a deposit of two hundred dollars which will be refunded back on my card after I return the rental and there's no damage to the vehicle. I returned the vehicle with no damage. I did my part. Please do your part. Thank you Respectfully John Jackson.
