Sixt - Fraudulent damage charge
I rented a vehicle from the Denver location. When I returned the vehicle the attendant said there was a chip in the windshield.
It was 1-2 millimeters and didnโt crack or split. You could not repair it because it was so small. I watch him take photos from the passenger side. He says not to worry just noting the condition of the vehicle.
A month later I get a letter claiming I chipped their windshield. I call and am on hold 37 minutes before talking with Betsy. She emails me photos and holy *** the chip is huge! It would require repair right away but the windshield wasnโt repaired until 10 days after I returned it!
Plus the photo is taken from the driver side. It isnโt the same chip at all! You can see in the photo the small nick just to the left that was mine supposedly. Circled in blue.
So now I have to fight the chip repair bill, an admin fee and loss of use!
On something I didnโt do! Awful company!
