Typical bait & switch. Horrible experience at Glasgow airport on Feb 16th, Scotland.

Reserved car not available, rude representative, Hard sell tactics for extras that I didn't want. Three times he asked about a second driver. Three times I replied that there would only be one driver. Would not accept the CDW insurance that I had with my visa credit card even though I had proof of insurance.

I asked for his name. He would not provide. I asked for a manager. He said there wasn't one.

I asked for the head office phone number. He said look it up yourself. Ultimately, he refused to rent me the vehicle unless I purchased SIXT insurance so after having traveled overnight from the US to the UK I ended up without the vehicle that I'd reserved weeks in advance and had to get a train to my destination. I submitted a complaint to SIXT and they replied with voucher for a discount on next rental and no acknowledgment.

I pressed for a response which basically said insurance was mandatory unless I had it on my credit card. Well hello, thats why I'm complaining.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER. Will not be be using the voucher

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Train staff on customer service & stop bad business tactics as a company.

Sixt Pros: Price before i was robbed.

Sixt Cons: Rude customer service- charges for no service, Lack of complaint resolution, Sociopathic in creating stress for clients, Being held responsible for an employees mistake.
